NABU Takes Literacy to the Airwaves: Empowering Families with Radio in Rwanda, Kenya and Nigeria

We’re thrilled to announce that NABU is bringing the joy of reading to families across Africa through radio! Every week, NABU broadcasts storybooks in native languages on major radio stations in Rwanda, Kenya, and Nigeria. Here's when and where you can tune in:

• Rwanda: Listen on Radio Rwanda 100.7 FM every Saturday at 2 PM.
• Kenya: Catch us on Radio Citizen 106.7 FM every Saturday at 9 AM.
• Nigeria: Tune into Kids FM 101.7 FM every Saturday at 10 AM.

Through our 15 Minutes to Literacy with NABU program, we’re connecting with thousands of families, delivering culturally relevant stories designed to inspire a lifelong love of reading in children.

Radio is a powerful tool for improving literacy rates, especially in underserved and remote communities where access to books or the internet is limited.
