August marks the beginning of a special period for NABU as we celebrate International Literacy Month under the theme "Stories that Connect, Languages that Unite." At NABU, we believe in the transformative power of bilingual stories to bridge cultural divides and foster mutual understanding.
From August 26 to September 26, we invite communities worldwide to join us in this celebration of literacy. Through our bilingual books, we aim to promote not just reading, but the idea that language can be a unifying force, connecting diverse communities.
Throughout the month, we’ll be hosting a variety of exciting activities, including the much-anticipated Readathon Challenge, special book readings by prominent figures, and engaging social media campaigns. These initiatives are designed to bring people together through the shared joy of reading and to highlight the importance of literacy in building peaceful, connected societies.
We encourage you to get involved, whether by participating in the Readathon, sharing your reading journey on social media, or simply enjoying a bilingual book with your child. Let's make this International Literacy Month a celebration of the stories and languages that unite us all.
Stay tuned for more updates and join the conversation using #StoriesThatUnite and #ReadWithNABU on all our platforms!
